Coffee factory up and running at full capacity
Orimi Group’s third industrial site, an instant coffee factory opened in December 2019, is now running at full capacity. In the first half of last year, the plant carried out commissioning work, and in the third quarter, production of freeze-dried instant coffee began. The factory’s commissioning has enabled Orimi Group to produce all types of coffee – beans, ground, and instant – and make great progress in localizing its coffee production in Russia.
At the beginning of 2021, the factory was operating at its planned capacity, which will enable the production of 4,500 tonnes of freeze-dried instant coffee every year. The enterprise produces coffee for its own Orimi Group brands, Jardin and Jockey.
The factory takes green coffee beans and turns them into natural instant freeze-dried coffee (using freeze-dried technology) in a process involving roasting, extraction, and sublimation. Total investment in the new production facility amounted to RUB 6.4 billion.
